The State Performance Plan Improvement Project (SPPIP) is part of the New Mexico State Personnel Development Grant (SPDG) - a federal initiative to improve outcomes for all students including those with disabilities.
- SPPIP will incorporate an on-site coaching/consultation model to provide technical assistance and training to develop district and school level EPSS goals, strategies, and interventions to address SPP indicators.
- SPPIP will focus on data-based planning, decision-making and intervention aimed at improving the performance of students with disabilities as well as improvements in site-based leadership, professional development and data-driven programming for quality instruction at all levels.
- SPPIP will rely on a Response to Intervention Framework.
- SPIPP is for New Mexico school districts that have been assigned the determiniation of "needs intervention" by the NMPED Special Education Bureau based on SPP indicators.
